The castle is at Celra, a sleepy village literally over the hill from Girona (8kms). From Stanstead & Luton England, you can fly directly to Girona and be at the castle in 20 minutes by taking the Autopista A7, only 2 exits away.
Barcelona is approx. 70 Kms./60 miles, 1.5hrs drive - Access to/from the A7 Autopista Motorway/Express Way is only 4 Kms. from the castle. There is a fast (less than 90 minutes) frequent train service to Girona, as many as 3 trains/hour
Figueres, site of the Salvador Dali Museum and where Salavador Dali lived is 15 miles/ 20 Kms. to the North East (30 minutes),
Cadaques, Pals, Begur and the Mediterranean are approx. 20 minutes drive and the French border at Perpignan is only some 30km to the north east,

A most attractive and historic small city with many restaurants, boutiques and sights of interest. The region produces a wide variety of wines and Girona has recently been singled out for its culinary innovation.
The castle is 5 minutes walk to Celra down a gentle hill, 8kms / 10 minutes drive from Girona. It is not isolated miles out in the countryside, but is close to all amenities while remaining private and peaceful. There is a colourful open market each Friday just below the castle at the bottom of the hill.
